What is Castor Oil?
Castor oil is a very thick pale to yellow vegetable oil derived from the Castor bean plant. It is a triglyceride of fatty acids. Almost 90% of the fatty acids are ricinoleicacid. This high concentration of unsaturated fatty acid is the essence of the great healing power in Castor oil.
Benefits of Castor Oil

Use of Castor Oil Packs
Many holistic practitioner suggest the use of Castor oil packs for many reasons. I use and recommend these pack to my fertility clients. You may be asking yourself what is a Castor oil pack?
Well, a Castor oil pack consist of a cotton flannel cloth, Castor oil, plastic wrap, and a hot water bottle or heating pad. There are two ways of applying a Castor oil pack.
First apply the oil directly to the skin then a layer of plastic wrap followed by the flannel cloth or soak the cloth with the oil, apply directly to skin then use plastic layer. Note: if soaking the cloth cover plastic wrap with towel before applying heat.
